More Than a Wedding Film

A family heirloom, created from one extraordinary day.

We create cinematic films that bring back the voices, the movement, and the people who made the day yours.

Getting Ready

Hair, makeup, suits, and the laughter in between. I capture the details, your dress reveal, and the people sharing the morning with you.

12:00 PM

First Look and Private Vows

A first look with your partner or family, with room to enjoy the moment. Small microphones can preserve your private vows in your own voices.

3:00 PM

Ceremony

Three to four camera angles follow your entrances, vows, and reactions. Dedicated audio recording keeps every word clear.

5:00 PM

Cocktail Hour

Guests catching up, family portraits alongside your photographer, and the reception details before everyone takes their seats.

6:00 PM

Grand Entrance

Your entrance, your people, and the room coming alive. I follow the energy and the reactions around you.

6:10 PM

First Dance

Your first dance together, filmed from complementary angles with attention to movement, expressions, and the people watching.

6:30 PM

Toasts

Clean audio and two to three camera angles preserve each speaker, your reactions, and the stories everyone will remember.

7:00 PM

Family Dances

Parent and family dances receive the same care as your first dance, with a close eye on the embraces and small expressions.

7:30 PM

Cake Cutting

The cake, the first slice, and the laughter around it. A little tradition, captured naturally.

9:00 PM

Dancing

The dance floor fills and the evening finds its rhythm. I stay with the energy, the friendships, and the moments that make the night yours.

Every celebration follows its own rhythm

Scott Mullaley, founder of SDM Weddings, filming with a cinema camera
Scott MullaleyFounder

Wedding films are among the most personal work we create. They are made for you now, but their value grows with time.

SDM Weddings is led by founder Scott Mullaley in Norwood, Massachusetts, with a limited calendar so every wedding receives his full attention. Scott is a Boston wedding videographer filming across Cape Cod, the North Shore and New Hampshire.

I film weddings in Vermont, in Stowe, Woodstock, Manchester, and Burlington, and in the valleys between them. A July weekend in Stowe and an October weekend in Woodstock are both Vermont, and they should look like themselves. I am based in Norwood, and I leave time for the road so your morning stays unhurried.

Travel to Vermont is available, and I include it for the wedding day. From Norwood I come north through the hills with the schedule built around your ceremony, your portraits, and the hour you want for the two of you. When the celebration sits at an inn outside the village, I plan that last stretch of road the same way I plan the vows.

Stowe and Woodstock are the two places I am asked about most. I travel to Topnotch Resort, to Edson Hill, and to Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, and I serve weddings at each of them. Topnotch Resort holds the celebration close to the mountain. Edson Hill is meadows and a quiet rise. Trapp Family Lodge looks across the valley, a lawn that can carry the ceremony with the peaks behind you. In Woodstock I travel to The Woodstock Inn, and to The Pitcher Inn in Warren, and I serve both. The Woodstock Inn is the green and the village around it. The Pitcher Inn is a smaller house in the valley, with room for portraits to breathe.

Manchester and the lake near Burlington are the other half of the state for me. I travel to The Equinox and to Hildene in Manchester, and to Shelburne Farms in Shelburne, and I serve the celebration you are planning at each one. The Equinox is a long porch and the green in the middle of the village. Hildene is gardens and a meadow above the town. Shelburne Farms opens toward the lake, barns and a great lawn, with the water in the distance during dinner. I also travel to Basin Harbor in Vergennes, and I serve weddings there when you want the lake up close. Private homes in these towns are days I am glad to come for as well.

I am booking Vermont weddings for 2027. Foliage weekends and the Saturdays of high summer are the ones couples reserve first. I keep a limited calendar so each wedding has my full attention. Tell me the date, the town, and the inn. You will hear back from me within one business day.
