More Than a Wedding Film

A family heirloom, created from one extraordinary day.

We create cinematic films that bring back the voices, the movement, and the people who made the day yours.

A first look with your partner or family, with room to enjoy the moment. Small microphones can preserve your private vows in your own voices.

Three to four camera angles follow your entrances, vows, and reactions. Dedicated audio recording keeps every word clear.

5:00 PM

Cocktail Hour

Guests catching up, family portraits alongside your photographer, and the reception details before everyone takes their seats.

6:00 PM

Grand Entrance

Your entrance, your people, and the room coming alive. I follow the energy and the reactions around you.

6:10 PM

First Dance

Your first dance together, filmed from complementary angles with attention to movement, expressions, and the people watching.

6:30 PM

Toasts

Clean audio and two to three camera angles preserve each speaker, your reactions, and the stories everyone will remember.

7:00 PM

Family Dances

Parent and family dances receive the same care as your first dance, with a close eye on the embraces and small expressions.

Cake Cutting

The cake, the first slice, and the laughter around it. A little tradition, captured naturally.

Dancing

The dance floor fills and the evening finds its rhythm. I stay with the energy, the friendships, and the moments that make the night yours.

Scott Mullaley, founder of SDM Weddings, filming with a cinema camera
Scott MullaleyFounder

Wedding films are among the most personal work we create. They are made for you now, but their value grows with time.

SDM Weddings is led by founder Scott Mullaley in Norwood, Massachusetts, with a limited calendar so every wedding receives his full attention. Scott is a Boston wedding videographer filming across Cape Cod, the North Shore and New Hampshire.

I film weddings in Rhode Island, and the drive from Norwood is one I am glad to make. Newport, Providence, Bristol, Narragansett, Watch Hill, and Block Island are places I travel to and serve. A morning in a house above the water, vows with the ocean beside you, and a reception that stays with the view. I plan the drive so I arrive while the morning is still quiet.

Travel to Rhode Island is available for the wedding day, and I include that travel in the schedule I build with you. From Norwood the road south is a familiar one, and I leave time for the bridges, and for the ferry when your celebration is on Block Island. A ferry day starts earlier on my calendar, so coverage begins when your day begins on the island.

Newport is the city couples describe first. I travel to Castle Hill Inn, to Belle Mer, to The Chanler, and to Rosecliff, and I serve the celebration you are planning at each of them. Castle Hill Inn sits on the water at the edge of the city, with lawns that can hold a ceremony in the open air. Belle Mer is a long room on the bay. The Chanler looks along the coast. Rosecliff is a house made for a processional, with a terrace that faces the water. I serve all four, and I serve the private homes between them.

Providence, Bristol, and Narragansett ask for a different film, and I travel to each. Providence is a city wedding, the river a few streets from the room, a guest list that can fill a ballroom. Bristol is Blithewold and the houses along the bay, gardens that give portraits room to breathe. Narragansett is the open coast, beaches and clubs where the wind is part of the day. I serve weddings in all three.

Watch Hill, Westerly, and Block Island are part of the same coast for me. I travel to Ocean House in Watch Hill and to Weekapaug Inn in Westerly, and I serve both. Ocean House is the grand house on the water, a lawn for the ceremony and rooms that hold dinner as the light goes. Weekapaug Inn is quieter, closer to the dunes. On Block Island I travel to Spring House and serve weddings there.

I am booking Rhode Island weddings for 2027. Summer Saturdays in Newport and the weekends along the coast are the dates couples reserve first. I take a limited number of weddings each year so yours has my full attention. Send the date, the town, and the place you have in mind. I reply myself, within one business day.

Questions, Answered

When should we book?

Most couples reach out nine to eighteen months ahead, and Saturdays from May through October reserve first. We accept a limited number of weddings each year and are now booking 2027.

Do you travel?

Yes. From our base in Norwood, Massachusetts, we film across New England, from Boston, Cape Cod and the Islands to the Berkshires, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Destination weddings are available by arrangement.

When will we receive our films?

Your teaser trailer arrives within one week with The Feature and The Heirloom, and your highlight film within eight weeks with every package. Every film is delivered privately online.

Will you work alongside our photographer?

Always. We coordinate the timeline with your planner and photographer so the whole day flows naturally.

Can our package be customized?

Yes. Additional coverage, multiple locations, welcome events and destination travel can all be added. We shape it together in our first conversation.

How does pricing work?

Our packages are marked $ to $$$ so you can compare them at a glance. After a relaxed conversation about your date, location and coverage, we send a personal proposal.

Do you travel to Rhode Island for the wedding day?

Yes. Travel to Rhode Island is available from my base in Norwood, and I include that travel in the wedding day. I serve Newport, Providence, Bristol, Narragansett, Watch Hill, Westerly, and Block Island.

Which Rhode Island places do you serve?

I travel to and serve Castle Hill Inn, Belle Mer, The Chanler, and Rosecliff in Newport, Blithewold in Bristol, Ocean House in Watch Hill, Weekapaug Inn in Westerly, and Spring House on Block Island. A private home in any of these towns is a day I am glad to come for.

Are you booking Rhode Island weddings for 2027?

Yes. I am booking 2027 weddings in Rhode Island now, including summer Saturdays in Newport and weekends along the coast. Write with the date and the town, and I will reply within one business day.
