More Than a Wedding Film

A family heirloom, created from one extraordinary day.

We create cinematic films that bring back the voices, the movement, and the people who made the day yours.

Three to four camera angles follow your entrances, vows, and reactions. Dedicated audio recording keeps every word clear.

5:00 PM

Cocktail Hour

Guests catching up, family portraits alongside your photographer, and the reception details before everyone takes their seats.

6:00 PM

Grand Entrance

Your entrance, your people, and the room coming alive. I follow the energy and the reactions around you.

6:10 PM

First Dance

Your first dance together, filmed from complementary angles with attention to movement, expressions, and the people watching.

6:30 PM

Toasts

Clean audio and two to three camera angles preserve each speaker, your reactions, and the stories everyone will remember.

7:00 PM

Family Dances

Parent and family dances receive the same care as your first dance, with a close eye on the embraces and small expressions.

Cake Cutting

The cake, the first slice, and the laughter around it. A little tradition, captured naturally.

The dance floor fills and the evening finds its rhythm. I stay with the energy, the friendships, and the moments that make the night yours.

Scott Mullaley, founder of SDM Weddings, filming with a cinema camera
Scott MullaleyFounder

Wedding films are among the most personal work we create. They are made for you now, but their value grows with time.

SDM Weddings is led by founder Scott Mullaley in Norwood, Massachusetts, with a limited calendar so every wedding receives his full attention. Scott is a Boston wedding videographer filming across Cape Cod, the North Shore and New Hampshire.

The North Shore is estate country, and it is where a great lawn does as much work as a ballroom. I film there from Norwood, a drive that lands me in Ipswich, Topsfield, Beverly, and the harbor towns with the morning still ahead. Stone terraces, long stretches of grass, and rooms that can hold dinner and dancing are the days I am hired for. I walk the grounds with your timeline so the ceremony, the portraits, and the party each get their hour.

The Commons 1854 and Willowdale Estate, both in Topsfield, are places I serve, along with Castle Hill at the Crane Estate and Turner Hill in Ipswich. The Commons 1854 has a lawn that was made for vows. Willowdale Estate feels like a house party that grew into a wedding, gardens around you, the celebration close. Castle Hill at the Crane Estate is the long view to the sea, and I like to let that landscape sit in the film beside the people. Turner Hill is a rise and a terrace, and the evening looks beautiful from it. I film at all four.

Glen Magna Farms, Misselwood, Smith Barn, and Cruiseport Gloucester extend the map. Glen Magna Farms is gardens. Misselwood looks over the water in Beverly. Smith Barn is timber and warmth, a room that flatters speeches. Cruiseport Gloucester sets the reception on the working harbor, boats and lights in the background while you dance. I also serve Salem, Newburyport, and Manchester by the Sea, in private homes, in hotels, and on lawns. If your North Shore day is one of these, I am glad to film it.

2027 dates on the North Shore are open to reserve. The estates fill Saturdays early, and so do I. I take a limited number of weddings each year. Write to me with the date and the place. I answer personally within one business day, and I can talk through how the grounds want to be filmed.

Questions, Answered

When should we book?

Most couples reach out nine to eighteen months ahead, and Saturdays from May through October reserve first. We accept a limited number of weddings each year and are now booking 2027.

Do you travel?

Yes. From our base in Norwood, Massachusetts, we film across New England, from Boston, Cape Cod and the Islands to the Berkshires, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Destination weddings are available by arrangement.

When will we receive our films?

Your teaser trailer arrives within one week with The Feature and The Heirloom, and your highlight film within eight weeks with every package. Every film is delivered privately online.

Will you work alongside our photographer?

Always. We coordinate the timeline with your planner and photographer so the whole day flows naturally.

Can our package be customized?

Yes. Additional coverage, multiple locations, welcome events and destination travel can all be added. We shape it together in our first conversation.

How does pricing work?

Our packages are marked $ to $$$ so you can compare them at a glance. After a relaxed conversation about your date, location and coverage, we send a personal proposal.

Do you travel to North Shore estates?

Yes. From Norwood I travel to the North Shore for the wedding day. Places I film include The Commons 1854, Willowdale Estate, Castle Hill at the Crane Estate, Turner Hill, Glen Magna Farms, Misselwood, Smith Barn, and Cruiseport Gloucester.

Which North Shore towns do you serve?

I serve Salem, Newburyport, and Manchester by the Sea, along with the estate towns inland and along the coast. A private home, a hotel, or a lawn are all days I am glad to film.

Are you booking North Shore weddings for 2027?

Yes. I am booking 2027 weddings on the North Shore now. A note with your date and your place is a good beginning, and I reply within one business day.
