More Than a Wedding Film

A family heirloom, created from one extraordinary day.

We create cinematic films that bring back the voices, the movement, and the people who made the day yours.

Hair, makeup, suits, and the laughter in between. I capture the details, your dress reveal, and the people sharing the morning with you.

First Look and Private Vows

A first look with your partner or family, with room to enjoy the moment. Small microphones can preserve your private vows in your own voices.

Ceremony

Three to four camera angles follow your entrances, vows, and reactions. Dedicated audio recording keeps every word clear.

5:00 PM

Cocktail Hour

Guests catching up, family portraits alongside your photographer, and the reception details before everyone takes their seats.

6:00 PM

Grand Entrance

Your entrance, your people, and the room coming alive. I follow the energy and the reactions around you.

6:10 PM

First Dance

Your first dance together, filmed from complementary angles with attention to movement, expressions, and the people watching.

6:30 PM

Toasts

Clean audio and two to three camera angles preserve each speaker, your reactions, and the stories everyone will remember.

7:00 PM

Family Dances

Parent and family dances receive the same care as your first dance, with a close eye on the embraces and small expressions.

7:30 PM

Cake Cutting

The cake, the first slice, and the laughter around it. A little tradition, captured naturally.

9:00 PM

Dancing

The dance floor fills and the evening finds its rhythm. I stay with the energy, the friendships, and the moments that make the night yours.

Scott Mullaley, founder of SDM Weddings, filming with a cinema camera
Scott MullaleyFounder

Wedding films are among the most personal work we create. They are made for you now, but their value grows with time.

SDM Weddings is led by founder Scott Mullaley in Norwood, Massachusetts, with a limited calendar so every wedding receives his full attention. Scott is a Boston wedding videographer filming across Cape Cod, the North Shore and New Hampshire.

I film weddings in Maine, and the coast is the reason the drive is worth making. Kennebunkport, Kennebunk, Portland, Camden, and Bar Harbor are places I travel to and serve, along with the towns between them. Harbors, islands, and a light that stays late in June and turns early in October: I want the film to look like the stretch of coast where you are marrying.

Travel to Maine is available from Norwood, and I include that travel in the plan for your wedding day. I leave early enough that the morning is calm when I arrive, in Kennebunkport or farther up the coast in Camden or Bar Harbor. The road is part of the work, and I treat it that way.

Kennebunkport and Kennebunk are where many of my Maine conversations begin. I travel to The Colony Hotel, to Hidden Pond, to Cape Arundel Inn, and to The White Barn Inn, and I serve weddings at each of them. The Colony Hotel faces the ocean from a broad lawn in Kennebunkport. Hidden Pond is set back in the trees, a quieter ground for portraits. Cape Arundel Inn looks over the water from a rise. The White Barn Inn, in Kennebunk, is rooms and gardens close to the village. I serve all four, and I serve the private homes along that shore.

Portland, Camden, and Bar Harbor extend the coast. I travel to The Press Hotel in Portland, to The Samoset Resort in Rockport and Point Lookout in Northport, and to Bar Harbor Inn and The Claremont Hotel, and I serve each one. The Press Hotel is a city wedding with the old port a few streets away. The Samoset Resort sits on the water near Camden. Point Lookout looks down the bay. Bar Harbor Inn faces the harbor and the islands. The Claremont Hotel, in Southwest Harbor, is a porch and a lawn above the water. I am glad to come for the day you are planning at any of them.

I am booking Maine weddings for 2027. High summer and the early weeks of foliage are the dates couples reserve first. I take a limited number of weddings each year so each one has my full attention. Send the date, the town, and the inn or the hotel. I will write back within one business day.

Most couples reach out nine to eighteen months ahead, and Saturdays from May through October reserve first. We accept a limited number of weddings each year and are now booking 2027.

Do you travel?

Will you work alongside our photographer?

Can our package be customized?

Yes. Additional coverage, multiple locations, welcome events and destination travel can all be added. We shape it together in our first conversation.
