More Than a Wedding Film

A family heirloom, created from one extraordinary day.

We create cinematic films that bring back the voices, the movement, and the people who made the day yours.

Getting Ready

Hair, makeup, suits, and the laughter in between. I capture the details, your dress reveal, and the people sharing the morning with you.

12:00 PM

First Look and Private Vows

A first look with your partner or family, with room to enjoy the moment. Small microphones can preserve your private vows in your own voices.

3:00 PM

Ceremony

Three to four camera angles follow your entrances, vows, and reactions. Dedicated audio recording keeps every word clear.

5:00 PM

Cocktail Hour

Guests catching up, family portraits alongside your photographer, and the reception details before everyone takes their seats.

6:00 PM

Grand Entrance

Your entrance, your people, and the room coming alive. I follow the energy and the reactions around you.

6:10 PM

First Dance

Your first dance together, filmed from complementary angles with attention to movement, expressions, and the people watching.

6:30 PM

Toasts

Clean audio and two to three camera angles preserve each speaker, your reactions, and the stories everyone will remember.

7:00 PM

Family Dances

Parent and family dances receive the same care as your first dance, with a close eye on the embraces and small expressions.

7:30 PM

Cake Cutting

The cake, the first slice, and the laughter around it. A little tradition, captured naturally.

9:00 PM

Dancing

The dance floor fills and the evening finds its rhythm. I stay with the energy, the friendships, and the moments that make the night yours.

Every celebration follows its own rhythm

Scott Mullaley, founder of SDM Weddings, filming with a cinema camera
Scott MullaleyFounder

Wedding films are among the most personal work we create. They are made for you now, but their value grows with time.

SDM Weddings is led by founder Scott Mullaley in Norwood, Massachusetts, with a limited calendar so every wedding receives his full attention. Scott is a Boston wedding videographer filming across Cape Cod, the North Shore and New Hampshire.

I film weddings in Connecticut, from Greenwich on the sound, through the Litchfield Hills, and out to Madison and Mystic. City rooms, vineyard lawns, and inns on the water can all sit in the same season, and I treat each one as its own film. I am based in Norwood, close enough that I arrive with the morning still ahead.

Travel to Connecticut is available, and I include it when I come for your wedding day. I build the drive into the schedule, the shore roads toward Mystic and the parkways toward Greenwich, so I am with you before the first look. When the celebration uses more than one address, I plan those moves the same way.

Greenwich and the Litchfield Hills are the two landscapes I hear about most. I travel to Belle Haven Club in Greenwich, and I serve weddings there, on the water with a lawn for the ceremony and the portraits. In the hills I travel to Winvian and to Mayflower Inn, and I serve each of them. Winvian is cottages in the woods, a wedding that feels gathered. Mayflower Inn is gardens and a long porch in the town of Washington. I serve the private homes around them as well.

Mystic, Madison, and the shore towns are the other half of my Connecticut work. I travel to The Inn at Mystic, to Saltwater Farm Vineyard, to Jonathan Edwards Winery, and to Madison Beach Hotel, and I serve the celebration you are planning at each one. The Inn at Mystic looks over the water. Saltwater Farm Vineyard in Stonington and Jonathan Edwards Winery in North Stonington give you vines, a tent, and an evening that can stay outside. Madison Beach Hotel puts the sound beside the reception. Saybrook Point Resort in Old Saybrook, along that same shore, is another place I travel to and serve.

Farther north, I travel to Lord Thompson Manor in Thompson, and I serve weddings there. It is a house with grounds enough for vows outdoors and dinner inside, a different Connecticut from the shore, and one I am glad to include in the season.

I am booking Connecticut weddings for 2027. Saturdays from late spring through the foliage weeks are the dates couples ask about first. I keep the list short so each wedding has my full attention. Tell me the town, the inn or the club, and the date. You will hear back from me within one business day.

Questions, Answered

When should we book?

Most couples reach out nine to eighteen months ahead, and Saturdays from May through October reserve first. We accept a limited number of weddings each year and are now booking 2027.

Do you travel?

Yes. From our base in Norwood, Massachusetts, we film across New England, from Boston, Cape Cod and the Islands to the Berkshires, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Destination weddings are available by arrangement.

When will we receive our films?

Your teaser trailer arrives within one week with The Feature and The Heirloom, and your highlight film within eight weeks with every package. Every film is delivered privately online.

Will you work alongside our photographer?

Always. We coordinate the timeline with your planner and photographer so the whole day flows naturally.

Can our package be customized?

Yes. Additional coverage, multiple locations, welcome events and destination travel can all be added. We shape it together in our first conversation.

How does pricing work?

Our packages are marked $ to $$$ so you can compare them at a glance. After a relaxed conversation about your date, location and coverage, we send a personal proposal.
