More Than a Wedding Film

A family heirloom, created from one extraordinary day.

We create cinematic films that bring back the voices, the movement, and the people who made the day yours.

The story of your dayYour day, at your pace
Getting ready at a Boston weddingGetting Ready

9:00 AM

Getting Ready

Hair, makeup, suits, and the laughter in between. I capture the details, your dress reveal, and the people sharing the morning with you.

12:00 PM

First Look and Private Vows

A first look with your partner or family, with room to enjoy the moment. Small microphones can preserve your private vows in your own voices.

3:00 PM

Ceremony

Three to four camera angles follow your entrances, vows, and reactions. Dedicated audio recording keeps every word clear.

5:00 PM

Cocktail Hour

Guests catching up, family portraits alongside your photographer, and the reception details before everyone takes their seats.

6:00 PM

Grand Entrance

Your entrance, your people, and the room coming alive. I follow the energy and the reactions around you.

6:10 PM

First Dance

Your first dance together, filmed from complementary angles with attention to movement, expressions, and the people watching.

6:30 PM

Toasts

Clean audio and two to three camera angles preserve each speaker, your reactions, and the stories everyone will remember.

7:00 PM

Family Dances

Parent and family dances receive the same care as your first dance, with a close eye on the embraces and small expressions.

7:30 PM

Cake Cutting

The cake, the first slice, and the laughter around it. A little tradition, captured naturally.

9:00 PM

Dancing

The dance floor fills and the evening finds its rhythm. I stay with the energy, the friendships, and the moments that make the night yours.

Scott Mullaley, founder of SDM Weddings, filming with a cinema camera
Scott MullaleyFounder

Wedding films are among the most personal work we create. They are made for you now, but their value grows with time.

SDM Weddings is led by founder Scott Mullaley in Norwood, Massachusetts, with a limited calendar so every wedding receives his full attention. Scott is a Boston wedding videographer filming across Cape Cod, the North Shore and New Hampshire.

I film Boston weddings from my base in Norwood, close enough that a city day and a day south of the city are both comfortable drives. Couples ask me for Back Bay mornings, Seaport evenings, and ballrooms that hold the whole celebration in one place. I follow the day as you planned it, from getting ready through the last dance, and I keep the film feeling like one continuous story.

The city places I film include the Boston Public Library, the Boston Harbor Hotel, and the Omni Boston Seaport. A ceremony at the Boston Public Library has a long aisle and a room that carries sound clearly, which is a gift when vows are spoken softly. The Boston Harbor Hotel puts the water beside the portraits, and the light changes in a way I like to leave in the film. The Omni Boston Seaport is where a modern reception can run late, with the neighborhood still awake outside. I serve all three.

When the celebration sits south of Boston, I film at Lake Pearl in Wrentham, at Saphire Estate in Sharon, and at Lombardo’s in Randolph. Lake Pearl gives you the water between the ceremony and dinner, and portraits there have room to breathe. Saphire Estate is a place for an outdoor ceremony and a reception that stays on the grounds. Lombardo’s is a ballroom wedding in the classic sense: a full room, speeches that land, and dancing that fills the night. Because Norwood is nearby, I can be with you for the early hours and stay until the music ends.

Some Boston days use several addresses. You might dress in Back Bay, marry at the library, and dance in the Seaport. I map those moves ahead of time so the cameras and the audio travel with you, and so you still have quiet minutes with the people you love. The vows and the toasts are recorded up close. The wider room is there too, including parents watching and friends at the edge of the dance floor.

2027 is open, and I am booking it now. Saturdays from May through October are the dates I hear about first. I take a limited number of weddings each year so yours has my full attention. Send the date, the neighborhood or the town, and the place you have in mind. I reply myself, within one business day.

Questions, Answered

When should we book?

Most couples reach out nine to eighteen months ahead, and Saturdays from May through October reserve first. We accept a limited number of weddings each year and are now booking 2027.

Do you travel?

Yes. From our base in Norwood, Massachusetts, we film across New England, from Boston, Cape Cod and the Islands to the Berkshires, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Destination weddings are available by arrangement.

When will we receive our films?

Your teaser trailer arrives within one week with The Feature and The Heirloom, and your highlight film within eight weeks with every package. Every film is delivered privately online.

Will you work alongside our photographer?

Always. We coordinate the timeline with your planner and photographer so the whole day flows naturally.

Can our package be customized?

Yes. Additional coverage, multiple locations, welcome events and destination travel can all be added. We shape it together in our first conversation.

How does pricing work?

Our packages are marked $ to $$$ so you can compare them at a glance. After a relaxed conversation about your date, location and coverage, we send a personal proposal.

Are you booking Boston weddings for 2027?

Yes. I am booking 2027 now, including Saturdays in Boston, Back Bay, the Seaport, and the towns just south of the city. A note with your date and your venue is the way to begin, and I reply within one business day.

Which Boston places do you film?

I film at the Boston Public Library, the Boston Harbor Hotel, and the Omni Boston Seaport, and I serve Back Bay and the Seaport. South of the city I serve Lake Pearl in Wrentham, Saphire Estate in Sharon, and Lombardo’s in Randolph.

Can a Boston film cover more than one address?

Yes. Many Boston weddings move from getting ready in Back Bay to a ceremony and then to a reception in the Seaport. I plan the travel between addresses so the film stays with you the whole way.
